Summary: Michael and Selene are trying to uncover the truth about this Vampire/Werewolf war and realize this goes all the way back 800+ years with a man named Alexander Corvinius who had 2 sons, one bitten by a vampire bat (Marcus), other bitten by a wolf (William). Those 2 sons became the leaders and the first of the immortals monsters and now in the 21st century they are still responsible for the centuries of blood and death. But it also appears that all 3 of them are still alive. Kraven helps Marcus wake up and soon Marcus’ sole motivation is to find his brother and release him. But the problem is, 800 years ago the werewolves once they turned, stayed in the wolf form and were uncontrollable. Things have changed for the better years later but releasing maybe the most powerful creature on the planet, isn’t gonna make the world safer. And only Selene can save the planet from the worst immortals ever!
Overall: As the film continued on, I just knew that this was better that the first film. The original film’s plot was “ok” but it’s all the little intricacies which bugged the hell out of me. I really disliked part 1. This film kept my attention, avoided many of the mistakes that part 1 included and overall provided for an enjoyable movie experience. Yeah, the wolves looked a little “too cgi” but overall, everything worked well. The character of Michael sorta of got glossed over with all the new people they added but some nice fight scenes prevented you form totally forgetting him. I’ll admit you need part 1 to truly understand this film, but overall part 2 easily surpasses the first film. If I could...I’d recommend skipping the first film altogether!
