The Terminator (1984)

An assassin called "The Terminator" is sent back through time to 1984 to kill Sarah Connor, a woman whose unborn son will lead the human race to victory in a war set in the future between machines and mankind. If Sarah dies, mankind will lose it’s only salvation. If Sarah survives, then everything is still set for human victory. But Sarah can’t defeat this assassin alone and so her son sends back a protector. This is their story.
Overall: Absolute brilliant classic film. I’ve included it because frankly this first film is a bit scary and quite dark. Basically you can see him as a killing machine who won’t give up and it’s scary to wonder if things like this do or can happen. Has time travel been developed such that maybe our neighbor or co-worker could be someone important or make a difference...and that’s what this series indicates. We make our own history.
