Poltergeist II: The Other Side (1986)

The unluckiest family in the desert is back and this time they left for good. Stephen and Diane have moved in with Grandma in hopes of leaving all of the demons behind. But not so fast. The demons that once picked on the Freeling's for their poor location choice have now pinpointed Carol Ann as their salvation. Kane, an elderly spooky man, has been searching for Carol Ann because he knows he can use Carol Ann to get where he needs to go. But she's much too strong and he then has to use Steven to help. But Tangina is there as is an Indian named Tatum. With their help that try to send Kane back into the 1800's where he belongs. But to do so this time they'll need to call upon Diane's clairvoyance to help. And Kane isn't about to go for this double-teaming.

Overall: I think this actually is a fairly creepy film, much like part 1. The character of Kane is fairly scary and definitely this guy deserved an Oscar nomination. But as in part 1, this film suffered from tremendous bad luck - Julian Beck (played by Kane) passed away soon afterwards of stomach cancer. So like its prequel and sequel, this film too had a death immediately during or after filing. (part 3 being Heather O'Rourke herself).
