Bacchanales Sexuelles/Fly Me the French Way (1974)

A woman named Valerie is all alone watching her cousin’s home while he's away on business. One night she calls her friend Sophie over for some comfort. Sophie and Valerie proceed to drink some wine and shed their inhibitions. Later that evening, Sophie awakes to find that some burglars have entered the apartment. She promptly calls her friend Fred to come over but by the time he shows, it's too late for Sophie who has already been kidnapped. Fred awakens Valerie and all the while Sophie is tortured, by the members of a strange sex cult, the two strangers get it on. Turns out that Valerie's cousin was a member of that group and had some incriminating photos of the leader, Malvina. Malvina wanted the pics, kidnapped Valerie thinking she had them. Problem is, can anyone find Sophie in time to save her?

Overall: The biggest prob I had with the film is the music. The score was annoying me the entire time and especially when the best parts of the film started, it ruined the entire mood. The scenes in this film really get so close to the line of hard/soft stuff, despite its age and country of origin. It’s an amusing film that was just a little too long. And to top that off, the sex scenes really don’t appear too realistic given the atmosphere of the film. Much of the time everyone is getting pleasure, they forget the terror of their situations. Amusing film but can be skipped.
