The town of Tarker's Mill is a place that is very peaceful, where nothing ever happened. However, recently people are starting to die off and the townspeople believe some maniac killer is on the loose. A young handicapped boy, believes that the killer is no man at all, but a werewolf. The question is, can he expose the werewolf but it kills him.
Overall: It’s an ok film but the werewolf is quite unconvincing. Compared to the other films around this time (American Werewolf in London, Howling, Wolfen) this film just doesn’t compare. It’s a fine story that didn’t cross over to the film genre very well. It’s a fairly predictable film that holds onto no secrets so everything becomes quite obvious from moment one. Nice cast though of Terry O’Quinn, Lawrence Tierney, Everett McGill & Gary Busey. But there are much better Werewolf films out there. Comparison: The Howling meets Born on the 4th of July |
