- Greyston Holt has appeared in a few movies, including "The Lost Boys 2". Anyone looking for more info on Greyston or his films, can visit him at his IMDB page.
Q: Greyston, can you explain how you first got into the movie business?
A: I need an extra arts credit in my senior year at high school, so I decided to take Acting 12. I quickly fell in love with it and expressed this to my parents. By chance a woman that my mom worked with had a sister who was a talent agent in Vancouver. We arranged a meeting and the rest is history. I think it was meant to be.
Q: Would you please explain your acting role in "The Lost Boys 2."
A:In two words I would describe my character as the geeky, emo boy who wants the hot chick but is stopped by some asshole vampires. She should have gone for me, but vampires are pretty "cool" I guess.
Q: Did you see the original “Lost Boys” movie before working on the sequel? If so, what did you think about it?
A:I had seen the original "Lost Boys" years ago, but i revisited it when i booked the sequel. It's a great, cult classic movie. Keefer Sutherland was great and did the "bad ass vampire" like not many can.
Q: Knowing how movie reviews may skew the perception of one's product, give us in your own words what you want people to know about the film.
A: People need to know that we were not trying to re-create the original. But there's great action sequence (surfing and skateboarding)lot's of blood and few sexy, steamy scenes as well.
Q: If there were one part of the filming that was more difficult than you expected, what would that be? Getting a costume to work? Appearing in a certain scene? Certain lines?
A: Being gagged up in a coffin was pretty wierd.
Q: Was there any one day, one moment where you just knew the film would work they way you thought it could?
A: Honestly, everyday I was on set I thought that it was going to work out well in the end. Every time I sat by the monitors and watched PJ work, I was always stoked on the shots he was setting up.
Q: Looking back, I see that you’ve also appeared in “The Sisterhood”. Can you tell me a little about the film and your experience with it?
A: Shit that was a look time ago. We shot that in the Carribbean so I had a blast.
Q: What’s it like to work with David DeCoteau?
A: It was a fun experience. Really great guy.
Q: What's next for you? If you and I were to talk 1 year from today, what do you think would be on your plate at that time?
A: The second season of my award winning series, "Durham County", will be airing this May on the Movie Network and Movie Central in Canada. Check it out. It's pretty twisted and dark. Not for the easily disturbed.
Q: If you and I were to talk 1 year from today, what do you think would be on your plate at that time?
A: Probably a big steak or lobster. Yeah that sounds good. Kidding!! I don't know what's gonna be on my plate. I would love to work on a great HBO series or something like that.
Q: Is there any movie director or producer you really want to work for one day?
A: The Cohen brothers would be pretty sweet, or maybe Danny Boyle.
Q: Are there certain types of films you enjoy doing? What do you look for when picking projects?
A: I definetly like doing more dramatic roles. Something where the character has some depth.
Q: You’ve appeared in a few films, but have also done some television shows, too, correct? Can you tell me where we may have seen you in those various projects?
A: Well my most proud work would have to be on Durham County, but i've also guest starred on Smallville and had some smaller roles on Blood Ties, The 4400 and Flash Gordon.
Q: If you could choose only one type of art (movies, television shows, etc) to continue working on, what would you choose?
A: Movies.
Q: Anything you wish to add for my readers and visitors? Something special about you that they probably do not know?
A: When i was growing up I made voices and personalities for my two dogs. The three of us would have conversations and sometimes arguments. I didn't have any siblings so you know how it is.
Q: Finally...this is an "Obscure Horror Movie" website. Can you name the last horror movie you watched either at the theatres or on dvd, etc? How about name a favorite horror film that you have seen that most people probably haven't seen?
A: The last horror movie I saw was The Ring. It's one of my favorites and i've seen it quite a few times now.
Q: Thank you very much for doing this.
