Gremlins 2: The New Batch (1990)

A few years after the first film, the lovely couple have moved to the big city, with jobs at this giant corporation and their technologically advanced office building. However it seems they still can’t follow the rules and their Mogwai gets wet and the gremlins start running around the building making utter chaos out of order. But it gets worse as they begin multiplying at vast rates and only the couple can stop them…if they get out, the nation could get invaded.
Overall: This film is pure comedy with no attempt at suspense or scares. However it still is a fun film with some really nice jabs at Ted Turner. The whole Hulk Hogan thing is silly but they had some good ideas. I liked the ending too as well as the recasting of Dick Miller. It’s a cute film but obviously not as good as part 1.
