Very interesting film about what motivates us, why we live, and at what point will we give up. 6 people awake one day to find themselves trapped in a giant maze of cubes. They follow the human being instinct to escape one's captors and eventually find each other. But to get out of this "jail" they must use each other's skills to find the trick to solving the puzzle. One false move and a booby-trap may take your life. The six people are from various backgrounds: a police officer, a doctor, a office worker, a math student, a prison escape artist, and an autistic man. Each door of the 6 sides of the cube has a door but most doors lead to traps so they must search for the right exit. But will anyone make it out alive?
Overall: Really enjoyed the film ,although it seems a bit harsh and slow at times. Stick with it and you'll learn something. Sure makes you wonder how you'd react if given the situation. The movie is similar to a Twilight Zone show, "5 Characters in Search of an Exit," but definitely goes far beyond into more complex dimensions than the show. Comparison: Closet Land meets Death and the Maiden (if u saw either film, you'll see the connections) |
