- Creep Creepersin is the director and creator of "Vaginal Holocaust." Anyone looking for more info on Mr. Creepersin or his films, can visit him at his IMDB page or his website page.
Q: Can you please give my readers a brief background on yourself?
A: I started being Creep about 5 years ago in the horror punk / goth band Creepersin. We put out 4 cd’s been on a bunch of comps and singles. I have also done a few solo albums of slower stuff. Wrote a few books and started making movies.
Q: And how did you first get into the movie business?
A: Always wanted to but just thought it was out of reach. So being in a horror punk band was like making little two minute movies. Through that I wrote a script for Blood Lust Romance and it almost got made. And when I saw how much fun I had trying to put that together, I made film my main focus. BLR was in development hell so I decided that I would just leave it as a book for now.
Q: Knowing how movie reviews may skew the perception of one's product, give us in your own words what you want people to know about "Vaginal Holocaust."
A: Out of all of my films, this is the only one that is truly an exploitation film. I like having weird mysteries happen in my stories that give it a little something else, and Vag does have that, but it is truly an exploitation film. There is a lot of sex and violence. It is a rape/revenge film. There are vampires in it but not your traditional vampires by any means.
Q: When did you first create the idea to do “Vaginal Holocaust”?
A: When I was writing HE, we had just finshed Erection and were in full swing in pre production on HE. Everyone we work with on these flicks were saying that I better make a “pussy” movie or else people might start thinking I was fascinated with the cock. Then we re talking to a distro company trying to figure a quick turn around project that had a exploitive title. And two things that came to mind were Vagina’s and Holocaust (i.e. Cannibal Holocaust). I didn’t want to write something that was just about killing Vagina’s so I also let the Vagina take revenge.
Q: If there were one part of the filming that was more difficult than you expected, what would that be? Getting a costume to work? Appearing in a certain scene? Certain lines?
A:
RAIN! We had to fly Natasha out and Elske came out on a train. We were shooting about an hour and a half away from where we were and paid for everything before hand. We had a half day that was dry and then it fucking rained the rest of the shoot until the day we left. Most of the film was supposed to take place outside. Our DP didn’t have any rain gear or anything, so we couldn’t film out side when it was raining. So there was a lot of re-writes on set and a lot of sitting around.
Q: Was there any one day, one moment where you just knew the film would work they way you thought it could?
A: It was the last night of shooting in the barn. It was our first set of hardcore blood effects. Ian and Emma did a great job making it work. The big blood shot worked the first time and it is my fav scene in the flick. It was fucking awesome.
Q: Tell me about Creepsville Entertainment and Creepersin Films. How did you come to create these?
A: Creepsville is or was or is, my entertainment company that encompases music, film and lit. I still own Creepsville but really haven’t done anything with it in a while. Creepersin films is just the core team that I have been working with the last 8 films. They are almost the same company but creepersin films is just for films.
Q: I see you’ve also created “O.C. Babes and the Slasher of Zombietown.” Can you tell me a little bit about this film? Any special stories you can share on how this film got made?
A: Ya. We had a pretty good budget and a producer that enjoyed spending money. So, we had to fire a bunch of people at the last minute because we couldn’t pay them. And it also meant that the main location we only had for one night. So they movie it self was most likely shot in about 8 hours tops. In saying that, I really do love the flick. It was a lot of fun. It is such a midnight movie. It brings back good memories.
Q: Since finishing work on “Vaginal Holocaust,” what else have you been working on?
A: Wow. Um. We start shooting Orgy of Blood tonight. I shot a stalker flick called Peeping Blog with ariauna Albright and elissa dowling a few weeks ago. Creep Creepersin’s Creepshow came out of dvd a couple weeks ago. And that is a collection of my shorts, videos and trailers. Also my Frankenstein movie will be out before summer and He should be done pretty soon as well.
Q: Is there any particular actor/actress that you want to work with that you have not yet found an instance to do so?
A: Angela bettis, rain Wilson, belladonna, etc.
Q: For any aspiring filmmakers out there who want to create their own work, what advice can you give them? Anything they need to avoid? Anything that they must know about?
A:
Just make a movie. There are always reasons why you shouldn’t or reasons to put it off, I think the easiest way to do it is to find a location that you can get for free, write a script around that, throw effects out the window unless you can make them yourself get your friends together and make a fucking movie.
Q: What are your aspirations and goals in the movie industry? Box Office blockbusters? Films that anyone can watch? Something else?
A: I want it all. I want everything on every level. I do want to make some children’s type of monster movies like monster squad or even goonies.
Q: Can you name a film that my visitors probably haven’t seen, that you think has either been an influence in your work or just feel is a “can’t miss” film?
A: Hitchcock’s Lifeboat. A really good film all shot in a raft. It is full of drama. That’s how you make a movie.
Q: What’s next for you? If you and I were to talk 1 year from today, what do you think would be on your plate at that time?
A: I will have around ten more movies out hopefully. We are shooting a Dracula flick pretty soon. Then in june we are doing Awesome Girl Gang Street Fighter: Bad Bitch Brawl which is a throw back to old Japanese Pink films. I am also doing a Comic and also a novel for O.C. Babes and the Slasher of Zombietown. And World Domination.
Q: Anything you wish to add for my readers and visitors? Something special about you that they probably do not know?
A: I cry a lot and kind of hate myself.
